Advanced Illustrator Final Assignment

This is the trifold brochure I created for the final assignment. I created all the info-graphical elements, sourced the mobile app screen images and inserted them into the iPhone image. The brochure is intended to match the look and feel of the website design done in a previous assignment. All work was done in Illustrator.

Advanced Illustrator Lesson 10

This Google image is commemorating the artist, Klimt. I have always admired the work of Gustav Klimt and was absolutely taken back by Beethoven's Frieze when I visited the Session Building in Vienna, Austria.

I used the images from Klimt's work, Mermaids. I create both "g"s by making a top shape outlining a combination of the Mermaid and the outlined letter using the pen tool and then applied a clipping mask to each.

I referenced a couple of Klimt's patterns to created the two letter "o"s. I then took those letter "o"s and created a symbol out of each and scaled them way down. I then created a pattern using the symbol sprayer and used clipping masks to create the letters, "l" and "e".

I also applied various transparencies and effects to enhance, feather and texture the letter images.

This is a composition of a home page of a website designed and output from Illustrator. I used the downloadable Illustrator version of the grid from http://960.gs/ as a guide for placing the elements.
